An incredibly large amount of traffic lands on this page, and Hotjar poll results reveal they are largely buyer-focused traffic. Though the buyer experience on this site is bordering completely ineffective, we'll try once more to properly redirect this traffic and convert them somewhere else. Since people tend to spend a lot of time on this page (251% higher than the site average), we'll have a timed slide in feature with a call-to-action that emphasizes more about learning how to buy timeshares.
Displaying 20 of 101 experiments
Owner Utility Bar (v5)
Version 4 of the utility bar test showed almost completely neutral results, failing to significantly increase Market Value CVR. Since the main menu adjustment on this site proved to be more adept at boosting conversion rates for market sell, we'll use this iteration of the utility bar to push Owner Sell leads instead, a goal type that was negatively impacted by the Main Menu test.
Destination Pages Slide In
Going off of recently successful tests, we'll duplicate the Slide In panel on Destination pages to appeal to owners who find themselves on those pages. Doing this will help us increase Owner Sell CVR across the board.
Resort Pages Slide In
As we've seen in successful experiments on the brand pages, adding an eye-catching slide in CTA on resort pages will direct more owners to the Sell Timeshare page, thus increasing conversion rate across a wide swath of pages.
Brand Suite Slide In Copy
Building on the success of the first brand suite slide out iteration, we'll test a variant with adjusted copy to see if we can also build on MVS and Ad Buyer leads as well as Owner Sell.
Destination Pages – Sell Time Bar
Adding a clear, concise call to action to the most-frequented Destination pages will allow us to direct more users to the sell timeshare page, boosting Owner Sell CVR.
Owner Panel Slide In – MVS
[VERSION UPDATE: This experiment will test the previously successful Owner Sell variant against a MVS variant]. Placing a feature on the inventory pages that slides in to help owners quickly get back on track once they've gone into the search experience. This feature can be tested for many different callouts/CTAs as a less-obtrusive form of popup.
Owner Panel Slide In (v2)
Placing a feature on the inventory pages that slides in to help owners quickly get back on track once they've gone into the search experience. This feature can be tested for many different callouts/CTAs as a less-obtrusive form of popup. [VERSION 2 UPDATE]: This second version will solely test the two variants from the first iteration in order to more succinctly determine their
Owner Panel Slide In – Brand Suites
Placing a feature on brand suite pages that slides in to help owners access relevant content. This feature can be tested for many different callouts/CTAs as a less-obtrusive form of popup.
Remove Search on Seller Pages
Removing the search feature from the menu bar on owner-focused pages will help reduce drop-off rate and encourage more owner leads
Help Focused Language on Owner Sell Page
Re-working some of the copy on the sell page to be more "help" focused trying to reduce anxiety and create a stronger sense of trust, viewing SMTN as "resale experts" with resale solutions.
Owner Utility Bar (v2)
We will reprise this old test, but instead target Owner Sell conversions instead of WMTW conversions.
Sell Timeshare Form – Adjusted Experience
Going off previously successful experiments, we'll revamp the sell timeshare page to deliver a more focused form experience for potential sellers.
Live Offer Page – Form Included
A significant amount of users arrive at the Live Offer page from the Sell Timeshare page, only to navigate back to the Sell Timeshare page or move away from conversion pages into the search features. With data showing the Live Offer page is crucial to producing Owner Sell conversions, we'll add a form right to the page itself to capture leads a few steps earlier than we normally would, which will help boost CVR.
Westgate Landing Page Form Reposition – Mobile
Heatmaps show that only 60% of mobile traffic driven to the Westgate landing page see the form submit button. The same maps demonstrate a high concentration of taps above the fold, suggesting that area of the page receives the most attention. This test will shift the main Owner Sell form above the fold, replacing the hero content that's currently there, in order to attract more owner-based conversions. This experiment will also make a slight adjustment to background imagery to increase copy clarity.
Sell Time Live Offer Enabled
Enabling an interactive live offer feed on this page will allow users to scroll through recent offers, giving us a greater chance to convince them of their timeshare's perceived value (without resorting to MVS). This will enable us to capture owner sell leads earlier on than usual, boosting Goal 2 CVR.
Sell Timeshare Narrowed Form
As seen in previous experiments on HGVC and VO, changing the sell timeshare page to make the form the focal point will produce more owner sell conversions
Narrowed Sell Timeshare Experience
Altering the above-the-fold elements on the page to make the form the focal point will replicate similar successes on other websites and produce more owner sell conversions
Simplified Main Navigation
Restructuring the navigation to appeal to the primary audiences and conversion funnels on the site by business priority will improve ease of navigation and assist users in accomplishing their goals more easily.
Home Page Sell Time Button
Putting a highly visible call to action on the home page that links to the Sell Timeshare page will allow us to do several things--drive more traffic to the sell page, and increase Owner Sell conversions there.
