Post-Mortem Analysis

We used previously successful pieces of content in this experiment to boost market sell leads. Changing the page headline and side div content seemed like an easy way to find some sort of increase–we made the headline more actionable, urging visitors to “get” their timeshare value, and leveraged feedback from Hotjar polls to create more appealing content in the green-colored bubble (majority of respondents to the question “why are you selling your timeshare?” signaled simple lack of use).

The results did not reach statistical significance, but the variant did lead the original for the majority of the experiment, finishing with a roughly 10% boost over the original in terms of market sell leads. Moreover, the variant led among all major channels by the test’s conclusion, which included Organic, Referral, and Direct traffic.

We can attribute the success of this test largely to previous experiments that have shown us what type of messaging people prefer to see in the market sell funnel. We are continuing to gain a better understanding of how to create the optimal What’s My Timeshare Worth page through tests like these.
