Description / Hypothesis
Testing a modal exit intent popup vs a slide in that calls attention to the Mexico Getaway deal. This hypothesis states that the exit intent modal will do a better job of grabbing users' attention and increase clickthroughs to the conversion page.
Post-Mortem Analysis
Key Learnings
The variant was successful in driving a statistically significant increase in pageviews to the Mexico Getaway page. The rate of views increased by 32.9% (94% confidence level).
The modal itself finished with a click rate of 0.55%. While this is just a slight amount of clicks, there’s little risk in exposing users with exit intent to the CTA, as they would’ve otherwise been leaving the site.
